5% of Spartanburg County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Spartanburg County recorded an unemployment rate of 5% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 7,991 people out of the 322,864 living in Spartanburg County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Spartanburg County has decreased compared to the 5.4% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Spartanburg County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.3%.
