Research economist Dr. Joseph Von Nessen, from the USC Darla Moore School of Business, is making the trip to Spartanburg to give a mid-year economic update. Presenting on a smattering of topics including inflation, interest rate hikes, the probability of recession, and even an early outlook for 2023, Dr. Von Nessen will describe the metrics businesses need to track regularly to navigate ongoing changes in the economic landscape. Von Nessen specializes in regional economics and forecasting. He conducts a wide variety of economic impact analyses, feasibility studies, and independent market research projects in the private and pubic sector. Von Nessen is a frequent speaker for business and government leaders throughout the southeast, providing information and consultation about business, housing markets and local economies.
