HEY, DRIVERS - Want to get your REAL ID without having to wait in long lines at your local DMV?

You're in luck! We're excited to announce we'll be partnering with the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles, as they host their first REAL ID roadshow in Spartanburg County--providing a mobile, more convenient DMV for folks who want to get their REAL ID.

The REAL ID looks just like a regular driver’s license, but has a gold star in the top right corner. Drivers will have to have a REAL ID to board a domestic commercial flight, to enter a secure federal building, and to visit a military base.

SCDMV will host this REAL ID event in the lower level of the Cleveland Park Event Center on Wednesday, July 20th, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

If you plan to come, there are a few things you'll need to bring with you.

First, you'll need proof of identity. This can include a birth certificate or a passport.

Second, you'll need a social security card or a W-2 that has a social security number on it.

Third, you'll need two proofs of your current, physical South Carolina address. That could include an unexpired driver’s license and a utility bill that is no more than 90 days old.

If you have any legal name changes, you’ll also need to bring a marriage license or a court order.

Be prepared to have your picture taken on-site. Your new ID will then be mailed to you.
