Of the 3,965 people living in Southern Shops in 2020, 37.5 percent (1,486) were women and 62.5 percent (2,479) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Spartanburg Reporter.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by 778. In the 65 and over age range, there were 113 females and 63 males.
