Spartanburg County Public Libraries: Genealogy Workshops: Lineage Society Application Research Consultations

15

Spartanburg County Public Libraries recently issued the following announcement.

Saturday, February 19, 2022, 1 – 4:45pm

Presented by Barbara M. Jurs, SCDAR Lineage Research Chair & Charity C. Rouse, SCPL Director of Local History

Joining or being a member of a lineage-based genealogy society means research as well as an application process. In this two-day workshop, we will use the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) application process to show how to research your potential Patriot, organize your documentation, and make the connections for each generation from you to your Patriot ancestor. The application process for other lineage societies will be similar to what the NSDAR requires.
