Spartanburg County issued the following announcement on January 18.
The Spartanburg County Council is considering rezoning the below-listed parcels (or portions thereof) from Restrictive Development to General Development. All parcels under consideration and those contiguous to them must be notified of changes to the zoning map. If your property does not appear in the list below, you are adjacent to a property that may be rezoned. The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on this rezoning on February 1, 2022 at their 4:30 p.m. meeting in the County Council Chambers at 366 North Church Street in Spartanburg. The County Council will hold a public hearing on this rezoning on February 21, 2022 at their 5:15 p.m. meeting in the County Council Chambers at 366 North Church Street in Spartanburg. The proliferation of industrial development in this area has led the County Council to consider rezoning some properties from the Restrict Development District to the General Development District. Please see the map below for the particular parcels (or portion thereof), as depicted by the pink shading, that are under consideration for rezoning.
