Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce: Building on years of Downtown Spartanburg success, Cribbs Kitchen to expand to Reidville Road in Moore

Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on December 27.

Originating as peach farmers in the Upstate area, the Cribb family fostered a reputation of festive gatherings and generous hospitality. For several generations, delicious food, good wine, rich discussion, and an ever-rotating guest list are the standard of expectation at the Cribb’s dinner table. The Cribb’s brought that standard to Downtown Spartanburg in 2011 when they opened Cribbs Kitchen.

Over the years, the restaurant has become a Spartanburg tradition and a downtown icon.  That tradition and reputation will now expand to a second location at Tyger River Plaza at 5850 Reidville Road where owners William Cribb & Raj Patel seek to serve guests from Spartanburg, the Upstate, and beyond.

“As Spartanburg has seen incredible growth over the past decade, we feel there are parts of the county that are under-served and feel like this is the perfect time and location for us to expand the Cribbs Kitchen brand” - Raj Patel, Partner.

“As we approached the exterior and interior layout and finishes we started where it began, our original location. Over the years the cultivation of an approachable and enlightened space has created a backdrop for incredible food and service. This is our recipe for Cribbs Kitchen Tyger River. We wanted our bar area to create a center for our guests and we’ve supported that with furnishings and lighting that stand out in that area. We have designed beautiful window banquets for spacious views across the space, inside and out. This is a detail we enjoy in both locations. Cribbs Kitchen is about authenticity and we are recognizing that in the natural finishes throughout the space. Reclaimed wood, copper, and custom table designs support a brand that is comfortable and fresh at the same time.” - Sandra Cannon, Sandra Cannon Interior Design.

The restaurant will be 5000 sqft, with over 120 seats, outdoor patio dining space along with a full service bar. The menu will mimic the downtown location along with some specialty smoked meats. Restaurant is slated to open early Q3 2022.

“With The birth of Cribbs kitchen over a decade ago we have always been community driven. Without our community we have nothing. Since we opened, our local landscape at large has grown. We are very excited to continue growing in Spartanburg County with our second location. We can’t wait to spread our love for food and hospitality to the greater Duncan/Moore/Reidville area.” - William Cribb, Partner.
