Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce: Outlook Spartanburg

Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement.

The Outlook Spartanburg Conference will feature legislative, economic and community forecasts at the local, regional, national and global level to enable attendees to make informed decisions in 2022.

7:30-8:30 AM: Doors open & breakfast service begins

8:30-9:30 AM: Economic Outlook

  • Wells Fargo Senior Economist Tim Quinlan will discuss the worsening supply chain concerns that have been present throughout the pandemic, leading to an “everything shortage” and showcasing the far-reaching impacts of global trade. Wells Fargo still expects real GDP to grow at an above-trend rate in 2022, but consumer prices may be impacted. Tim will also unpack what this all means for interest rates, Federal Reserve policy and more for our economy going into 2022.
9:45-10:45 AM: Spartanburg’s Outlook for the New Year

  • This session will touch on our community’s talent attraction and retention efforts, economic and tourism development, local trends to keep an eye on and more info your business needs to succeed.
11 AM – Noon: Legislative Panel

  • This session will feature members of Spartanburg County’s Legislative Delegation discussing their priorities for the year ahead and more.
