Spartanburg Methodist College issued the following announcement on November 19.
Catherine Gramling’s connection to SMC began many years ago before she was even born. Her grandfather, Olin D. Johnston, attended the College in the early 1900s when it was still known as the Textile Industrial Institute.
Now, Gramling serves on SMC’s board and as an advocate for the College in our community. She uses her extensive background in education to help shape the future of the College to best meet the needs of our students.
