University of South Carolina-Upstate Athletics issued the following announcement on July 15.
Congratulations to our 2020-21 Sparty Award Winner for Male Freshman of the Year, Baseball's Noah Rabon.
Noah was Second-Team All-Conference in the Big South. In the regular season, he started 50 games for the Spartans and ranked third in the conference with 67 hits. He also ranked in the top-10 of the conference in RBI (45), doubles (14), triples (3), and HBP (10). Rabon rode a 10-game hit streak and 30-game on-base streak during the season to go with 19 multi-hit games and 10 multi-RBI games. He tied a school record for hits in a single game against UNCA on May 20 when he batted 5-for-6 with five RBI and three runs scored. Rabon was named Big South Freshman of the Week on March 29 after batting .400 with five doubles, three RBI, and three runs scored on the week.
