Of the 1,942 citizens living in Cowpens in 2019, 1,532 were old enough to vote as of Jan. 26, according to U.S. Census Bureau data.

The bureau reported 919 of those people were female and 613 were male.

Data for this story was compiled from the bureau’s American Community Survey. Information from the survey helps to determine how federal and state funds are distributed.
