Of the 3,592 people living in Southern Shops in 2019, 41.8 percent (1,500) were women and 58.2 percent (2,092) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Spartanburg Reporter.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 1,441-to-948. In the 65 and over age range, there were 127 females and 78 males.
