58 percent of applicants to Spartanburg Methodist College were admitted for fall 2018

At Spartanburg Methodist College, 99 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 51 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The two-year private not-for-profit institution in Spartanburg enrolled 869 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 4.7 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

94 percent of undergraduates are residents of South Carolina, and 5 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (50 percent) and Black or African American (36 percent).

The school admitted 58 percent of the 1,674 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 52 percent enrolled.
