On Saturday, April 5, former Union County High School standout Kamryn Akins’ current college team, the Lander Bearcats, won 3-2 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Georgia Southwestern State Hurricanes.

The game took place at Doug Spears Field. This was their third matchup against the Hurricanes this season.

The Bearcats’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, April 12 at 12 p.m. at Flagler Field against Flagler Saints.
