The lowest reported price for diesel gas in Spartanburg County was $2.79 per gallon during the week ending Feb. 21, available at one gas station, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.
The average reported price of diesel gas across the county was $3.21 per gallon.
GasBuddy reports show that diesel gas was available at 71 of the 190 reported gas stations in Spartanburg County.
For comparison, the average price of diesel gas in South Carolina was $3.32 per gallon for the week ending Feb. 21, up from the previous week.
U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration expects global oil stockpiles to keep growing into 2026, a trend that could weigh on crude prices in the near term.
